There is a huge VIP movement in Patna, the whole country including Bihar knew this. But, even in Patna no one remembers seeing so many airplanes in a single day. Several leaders also came on Thursday for a meeting of political parties in Patna against the BJP government at the Center led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Didn’t know that much then. People were shocked when small planes were seen flying in the sky at some intervals from afternoon to evening on Friday. There are many surprising things too.
Four CMs came on the first day, three charter planes landed
Initially it was being said that Congress’ number one leader Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge were coming by chartered plane. But, on his first Thursday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee came to Patna with her nephew Abhishek Banerjee in a chartered plane. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann also arrived in a chartered plane. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also came to Patna on a chartered flight on Thursday night itself. That is, the four Chief Ministers who came a day before the meeting came in three chartered planes.
The plane of these leaders landed continuously before the meeting
On Friday morning, the parking of chartered planes at Patna airport started filling up rapidly. Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren came in a charter plane, former Chief Minister and former Union Minister Sharad Pawar came in another charter plane along with other NCP leaders. The charter plane of former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also landed on Friday itself. Around 10 am, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge got down from the same charter plane. Last of all, former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray and the rest of his companions came by a chartered flight for the meeting.
Two former CMs also came by scheduled flight
Both former Chief Ministers of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti traveled by scheduled flight only. Both the common passengers came by plane only. Apart from these, D. Raja of the Communist Party of India (CPI) and Dipankar Bhattacharya of the Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) also came and went in the passenger plane. Sitaram Yechury of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) came by passenger plane, but returned in the evening by a chartered plane.
